Proforms

The basic proforms of the Danetian language are organized in the following table:

pronoun out of two location time magnitude
interrogative pos poteros podi poda potios
relative jos joteros jodi joda jotios
proximal sjos sjoteros sjodi sjoda
distal tos toteros todi toda
existential inopos inopodi inopoda
universal visjos visjodi visjoda
negatory nipos nipoteros nipodi nipoda nipotios

The interrogative pronoun pos is used to form other constructions, such as pro pod “why”; or in the instrumental case, pasme djystre or simply pasme “how”. The other pronouns jos, sjos, etc. can be used analogously.

The inflection of the pronoun pos is as follows:

  m. sg. f. sg. n. sg. m. pl. f. pl. n. pl.
nom. pos pa pod poi pai pa
voc. po pu pod poi pai pa
acc. pom pam pod pons pans pa
gen. posio pasias posio poisom pasom poisom
abl. posmod pasmad posmod poimos pamos poimos
dat. posmoi pasmai posmoi poimos pamos poimos
loc. posmi pasmi posmi poisu pasu poisu
ins. posme pasme posme pois pabi pois

The pronouns jos, sjos, etc. inflect similarly. The pronouns poteros, joteros, etc. inflect like adjectives.

The words podi, poda, jodi, joda, etc. are adverbs, so they do not inflect.
