Proforms
The basic proforms of the Danetian language are organized in the following table:
| pronoun | out of two | location | time | magnitude | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| interrogative | pos | poteros | podi | poda | potios |
| relative | jos | joteros | jodi | joda | jotios |
| proximal | sjos | sjoteros | sjodi | sjoda | — |
| distal | tos | toteros | todi | toda | — |
| existential | inopos | — | inopodi | inopoda | — |
| universal | visjos | — | visjodi | visjoda | — |
| negatory | nipos | nipoteros | nipodi | nipoda | nipotios |
The interrogative pronoun pos is used to form other constructions, such as pro pod “why”; or in the instrumental case, pasme djystre or simply pasme “how”. The other pronouns jos, sjos, etc. can be used analogously.
The inflection of the pronoun pos is as follows:
| m. sg. | f. sg. | n. sg. | m. pl. | f. pl. | n. pl. | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| nom. | pos | pa | pod | poi | pai | pa |
| voc. | po | pu | pod | poi | pai | pa |
| acc. | pom | pam | pod | pons | pans | pa |
| gen. | posio | pasias | posio | poisom | pasom | poisom |
| abl. | posmod | pasmad | posmod | poimos | pamos | poimos |
| dat. | posmoi | pasmai | posmoi | poimos | pamos | poimos |
| loc. | posmi | pasmi | posmi | poisu | pasu | poisu |
| ins. | posme | pasme | posme | pois | pabi | pois |
The pronouns jos, sjos, etc. inflect similarly. The pronouns poteros, joteros, etc. inflect like adjectives.
The words podi, poda, jodi, joda, etc. are adverbs, so they do not inflect.
